Khurram, Afaq propel Faisalabad to victory in sixth round of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025-26

ISLAMABAD, Nov 06 (APP): Khurram Shahzad, Afaq Afridi and Asad Raza shared all 20 wickets between them as Faisalabad secured the win on second day against Lahore Region Whites at Diamond Cricket Ground, Islamabad in the sixth-round match of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

Resuming their innings from the overnight score of 69-5, Faisalabad were dismissed for 115 in 39.5 overs. Aamer Jamal and Nisar Ahmad equally shared eight wickets between themselves. In reply, Lahore were bundled out for 81 in 20.5 overs. Player of the match Khurram returned figures of 5-40, while Asad Raza picked up three wickets for 14 runs.
Faisalabad chased down the 146-run target in 26.1 overs with four wickets in hand. Faham-ul-Haq played an important 42-run innings.

At Marghzar Cricket Ground, Karachi Blues were bowled out for 391 in 107 overs, resuming from their overnight score of 323-7. Saud Shakeel fell seven runs shy of his 23rd first-class century as Mohammad Amir Khan returned figures of 4-87.

In reply, Peshawar were bundled out for 165 in 50.3 overs. Israrullah top-scored with 62 while Muhammad Umar grabbed six wickets for 30 runs. At stumps, Karachi were 24-0.

At Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium, building up on their overnight score of 460-3, FATA amassed another 227 runs before declaring on 687-7. Khushdil Shah, who reached his fourth first-class ton on day one, reached his maiden double-hundred, finishing on a 257-ball 206, striking 24 boundaries and three sixes.

Kamran Ghulam picked up three wickets for 43 for Abbottabad.

At stumps, Abbottabad found themselves 113-4 in 34 overs. Opening batter Shahzaib Khan remained unbeaten on 45 including six fours. For FATA, Asif Afridi picked up three for 29 in 12 overs.

At Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, resuming their innings from the overnight score of 203-2 in 58 overs, Bahawalpur were lifted to 511-9, as Mohammad Ammar (166, 310b, 21x4s, 2x6s) and Saad Khan (155, 169b, 24x4s, 1×6) recorded a 227-run third wicket partnership.

For Sialkot, Hasan Ali returned figures of 3-77 in 26 overs while skipper Usama Mir and pacer Mohammad Ali picked up two wickets apiece.

At stumps, Sialkot were 41-0 in seven overs with Azan Awais (20 not out) and Mohammad Huraira (18 not out) at the crease.

At Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar, Islamabad were bowled out for 333 in their first innings, after an overnight score of 272-8. Hunain Shah, who came in to bat at number 10, scored a 60-ball 51 including five fours and two sixes.
For Multan, Mohammad Ismail and Ali Usman shared eight wickets for 177 runs between themselves.

In reply, Multan were bowled out for 170 in 44.3 overs. Skipper Imam Ul Haq top-scored with 51. Naqeebullah and Hunain picked up three wickets apiece. With Islamabad enforcing the follow-on, Multan found themselves 19-0 at stumps on day two.
