Islamabad Marathon to be held on March 24 to express solidarity with Pak Armed Forces

ISLAMABAD, Mar 08 (APP):Islamabad Marathon 2019 will be held on March 24 to pay tributes to valiant Pakistan Armed Forces and give a message to the world that Pakistanis are a peace loving nation, Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Khan Suri said on Friday.
While briefing the media about the significance of the marathon here at Pakistan Sports Complex, he said that the event was aimed at showing solidarity with Pakistan Armed Forces. The way Pakistan Air Force foiled the nefarious designs of the adversary by shooting down its aircraft was highly commendable, he said.
He said that the brave sons of the soil defeated several times bigger enemy, who was considering itself a superpower. “We are proud of our armed forces, who have shown to the world that Pakistan is fully capable of defending its frontiers,” he added.
