ISLAMABAD, Jun 25 (APP): The National Inter-Provincial Netball Championship organized by Pakistan Netball Federation would kick off at the Liaquat Gymnasium of Pakistan Sports Complex from Wednesday.
According to Chairman, Pakistan Netball Federation, Mudassir Arain all arrangements for the Championship have been completed and seven team of men and women each from across the country were participating in the championship.
The teams include Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan, he said and added that Punjab and Sindh would defend their men’s and women’s title respectively.
In the first round of men’s event, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would face Gilgit-Baltistan in the first match. Meanwhile, Balochistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir teams would meet in the second match and the third match will be played between Islamabad and Sindh.
In the first round of women’s competitions, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would meet in the first match.
The second match would be played between Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan. In the third match, Islamabad and Punjab would face each other, while defending Sindh team has received a bye.
Prizes would be distributed among the winning players at the end of the Championship.
