ICA selects 20 female players for 15-day training

ISLAMABAD, Aug 31 (APP): Islamabad Cricket Association (ICA) (Women Wing) has selected 20 players for its 15-day Cricket Academies Training session, starting on Thursday at National University of Science and Technology (NUST) H-2, Islamabad.
According to a press release issued here, the players have been selected after three-day trials in which over 150 students of different schools of Islamabad Region took part. The trials were held under the supervision of selection committee, comprising Pakistan Cricket Board’s officials Muhammad Tahir, ICA official Aftab Ahmed, Javed Akhtar (NUST Coach) and Robian Anser, representative ICA (Women Wing).
The selected players include, Gull Mena, Sofia Bulbul Jan, Amina Javed, Samia Naeem, Gulnaz Nazir, Nadia Bibi, Mahrukh Agha, Afza Hussain, Shifa Hamid, Fiza Sohail, Wahiba, Aneeq, Madiha, Kiran Iqbal, Bushra, Kousar, Fatima, Farzana, Nizalia Siddiqui and Amina Abdullah.
After the training, the selected players will be feature in upcoming Under 17 National School Tournament.
