ISLAMABAD, Nov 08 (APP): Pakistan’s Hamza Roman and Abubakar Talha bagged the doubles title of the ITF Pakistan National Foods World Junior Tennis Championship J-60 2025 here at the PTF-SDA Tennis Complex on Saturday.
A large number of junior tennis players from around the world, including China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Lithuania, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Nepal and the host nation, Pakistan, are participating in the tournament.
In the Boys’ Doubles Final, Hamza and Abubakar defeated Mikaeel Ali Baig (PAK) and Kristijonas (LTU) in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, to win the ITF Pakistan J-60 Doubles Title.
Hamza and Abubakar displayed outstanding tennis throughout the tournament.
Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, President-PTF, congratulated the players and extended his best wishes for the upcoming singles final. Col. (R) Zia-ud-din Tufail, Secretary General-PTF, also congratulated the players on their remarkable achievement.
In the Girls Singles final, Haniya Aman Minhas of Saudi Arabia beat Varvara Rubtsova of Russia 6-1,6-1 and won the ITF J-60 Singles title.
In the Girls Doubles final, Haniya Aman Minhas (KSA), Ecrin Lal(TUR) beat Deniz Cakil (TUR), Serifie Pelin Sari (TUR) 6-4,6-0 and won the ITF J-60 Doubles title.
The boys’ Singles final will be played between Pakistan’s Hamza Roman and Mikaeel Ali Baig on Sunday at 12pm.
