Gujarat wins Pakistan super Kabaddi league title

LAHORE, May 10 (APP):Gujarat Warriors won the inaugural Pakistan super Kabaddi league title defying a weak challenge of Faisalabad Sherdils in the final here at the Gymnasium Hall of Sports Board Punjab Nishtar Park Sports Complex on Thursday night.
Gujarat Warriors proved good for Faisalabad Sherdils with a fine 38-26 win before a lively crowd which cheered every move and skillful play of either sides.
Warriors were in great spirit and form throughout the entire match and did not let the match slip away from their hands. The lead they took in the start of the match was maintained till the end, rather increased tits and bits by them.
Gujarat Warriors raider Tahseen named the player of the final while Nasir Ali of Faisalabad Sherdils was declared the players of the league.
Later speaking on the occasion, chairman SKL Haider Ali Daud praised the arrangements, security agencies for all the efforts to restore peace in the country and for security of the SKL.
Pakistan’s discarded wicket keeper batsman Kamran Akmal eliminated the arena with his presence.
Baba Ali of Iran received an overwhelming appreciation from Pakistan. “Glad to see how supportive Pakistanis are towards international as well as national players,” he said.
In the prize distribution ceremony, Haider Ali Daud Khan, Chairman SKL along with Khwaja Shariq of Telenor and Muhammad Sarwar Rana of PKF gave the trophies and other awards to the teams and players. The winning team Gujrat Warriors pocketed Rs One Million while the other finalists Faisalabad Sherdils got Half a million rupees in prize money.
