Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF), in collaboration with the Divisional Sports Department and with the support of the Pakistan Macro Futsal Federation, will host the First National Macro Futsal Championship on July 13 and 14 at its Multipurpose Sports Complex New Campus Jhang Road.
GCUF to host first National Macro Futsal Championship from July 13

FAISALABAD, Jul 08 (APP): Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF), in collaboration with the Divisional Sports Department and with the support of the Pakistan Macro Futsal Federation, will host the First National Macro Futsal Championship on July 13 and 14 at its Multipurpose Sports Complex New Campus Jhang Road.
Teams from across Pakistan, representing various provinces and government departments, will compete in the two-day national event for promoting futsal and encouraging healthy sporting activities among youth.
According to President of the Macro Futsal Federation Hajji Tariq, all arrangements for the championship have been finalized. He said that the tournament would bring together leading macro futsal teams from across the country, providing a competitive platform for talented players and contributing to the development of the sport at the national level.
The opening ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. on July 13 at the Multipurpose Sports Complex of GC University Faisalabad. Vice Chancellor GC University Faisalabad Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam will grace the occasion as the chief guest and formally inaugurate the championship.
The closing ceremony will be attended by Divisional Commissioner Faisalabad Madam Musarrat Jabeen as the chief guest. She will distribute trophies, medals and prizes among the winning and position-holder teams in recognition of their outstanding performances.
Divisional Sports Officer Faisalabad Nadeem Qaiser and Director Sports GC University Faisalabad Dr. Saeed Javed have been appointed as the organizing secretaries of the championship. Hafiz Rehan will perform duties as Deputy Organizing Secretary while Mujahid Shah has been designated as the tournament coordinator.
The organisers expressed confidence that the championship would provide an excellent opportunity for players to demonstrate their skills, strengthen inter-provincial sporting ties and further promote macro futsal as an emerging sport in Pakistan.
