Four Pak players cruise into quarterfinals of Squash Championship

ISLAMABAD, Nov 7 (APP): Four Pakistani players cruised into
quarterfinals of President Gold Cup International Squash
Championship-2015 on Sunday by beating their opponents in the
main round matches here at Mushaf Squash Complex, Islamabad.
Pakistan’s Farhan Mehboob and Tayyab Aslam trounced country
fellows – Khawaja Adil Maqbool and Saqib Yousaf, respectively.
Farhan trounced Khawaja Adil 5-11, 11-7, 11-6 and11-5, while
Tayyab overwhelmed Saqib 11-9, 11-8, 10-12 and 11-9.
Similarly, Nasir Iqbal and Danish Atlas of Pakistan also won
their matches by beating country fellows. Nasir beat Waqar Mahboob
11-4, 11-9 and 11-7, while Danish beat Raees Khan 11-7, 11-4 and
11-7. Egypt’s Omar Abdel Meguid beat Asim Khan of Pakistan 11-9,11-2 and14-12 and Karim Al Fathi Egypt overcame Pakistan’s Abbas Shaukat 11-7,11-4 and11-7 to qualify for the last eight stage.
Ahmed Al Saraj of Jordan beat Aqeel Rehman Australia 8-11, 11-3,
11-8 and 11-7 and Todd Hamity of USA defeated Israr Ahmed 11-6,
13-11 and 11-3.
Michel A Galopin, General Manager Serena Hotel Islamabad also
witnessed the matches as chief guest.
