LAHORE, July 18 (APP): Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada Monday congratulated the national boxer Waseem Khan for winning the World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver Flyweight title in Seoul, South Korea.
While terming Waseem’s win over Philipino boxer “a historic moment” in Pakistan boxing history, he said the national boxing had reached new heights of glory making the entire nation proud.
He wrote official letters to Doda Khan Bhutto, President Pakistan Boxing Federation and Waseem Khan besides congratulating his coaching staff for this outstanding performance.
“I hope that Waseem will win more laurels for his country by putting up hard work and commitment in his future bouts as well,” he added.
