Quaid Open Inter-Division Sports Championship Faisalabad dominate Archery event

LAHORE, Jan 08 (APP): Faisalabad division, with 630 points won the First Quaid-e-Azam Open Inter-Division Sports Championship 2021 trophy here on Friday.

Lahore division got second position with 593 points and Gujranwala division is placed third with 293 points during the 3-day sports extravaganza.

A cash prize of Rs 18,60,000 and 246 medals were awarded among the position holders of all the event during the First Quaid-e-Azam Open Inter-Division Sports Championship 2021.

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti awarded the winners’ trophy to Faisalabad Divisional Sports Officer Rana Hamad at the colourful closing ceremony at Punjab Stadium.

The runners-up and third position trophies were also given to Lahore and Gujranwala DSOs on this occasion.

Vice-Chairman Sports Board Punjab Rao Zahid Qayyum, Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Fuad Hashim Rabbani, Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh, Director Admin Javed Chohan, Director Sports Hafeez Bhatti, Divisional and District Sports Officers and a large number of players and officials were also present at the grand closing ceremony.

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti, Vice-Chairman Sports Board Punjab Rao Zahid Qayyum, Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Fuad Hashim Rabbani and Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh, Director Admin Javed Chohan, Director Sports Hafeez Bhatti, Chief Consultant Shahid Faqeer Virk, PRO to Punjab Sports Minister Syed Umair Hasan, SBP PRO Abdul Rauf Rufi were also awarded souvenirs on this occasion.
