Eight athletes selected for Asian Bodybuilding Championship

ISLAMABAD, Jul 11 (APP):The First National PSB Bodybuilding and Physique Championship 2025 concluded here at the Pakistan Sports Complex with the selection of eight top athletes, who will represent Pakistan at the 57th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship later this year in Thailand.
Organized by the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation (PBBF) with the support of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), the championship drew 122 participants from across the country, competing in 23 categories including Senior, Junior, Masters, Athletic Physique, and Sports Physique divisions.
Following a rigorous evaluation process conducted by a panel comprising international and national judges from the World Bodybuilding Federation, Asian Bodybuilding Federation, and provincial associations, the following athletes were shortlisted to compete at the continental level: Ejaz Ahmed, Firasat Ali, Mohsin Iqbal, Muhammad Shakeel, Bilal Ahmed, Usama Saeed, Haroon Rasheed, and Faizan Gul.
The event also featured the first-ever Anti-Doping Awareness Seminar, held alongside the championship to promote clean and fair competition in the sport.
Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation Secretary General Sohail Anwar, who was the chief guest at the closing ceremony, praised the efforts of the PSB and organizing committee in hosting a successful event. “This championship marks a new chapter in Pakistan’s bodybuilding scene. Our commitment is to promote bodybuilding nationwide with transparency and dedication. Our athletes will prove themselves on the Asian stage,” he remarked.
Chairman of the PSB Organizing Committee Saeed Akhtar, along with committee members Nasrullah Rana, Farman Khan, Sohail Gil, and noted sports nutritionist Dr. Nabeel, also attended the event and congratulated the winners.
