LAHORE, Nov 26 (APP):Director General Sports Punjab, Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman has expressed grief and sorrow on the sad demise of former hockey Olympian Akhlaq Ahmed, who passed away after losing his battle with cancer at the CMH Hospital in Lahore.
Olympian Akhlaq Ahmed was part of Pakistan hockey team which won bronze at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992.
In his condolence message, Gumman said here on Saturday that the death of Olympian Akhlaq is a great loss for Pakistan hockey. He conveyed his heartfelt and sincere sympathies to the members of the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul may rest in eternal peace.
