Daniyal Ijaz wins Azadi Cup Tenpin Bowling C’ship title

ISLAMABAD, Aug 15 (APP): Daniyal Ijaz won the men’s singles title of Marka-e-Haq Azadi Cup Tenpin Bowling Championship-2026, while Faheem Akbar Khan and Zeeshan Bhatti finished 2nd and 3rd position respectively here at the Leisure City Bowling Club Safa Gold F-7 Markaz.

Ahmer Suldera was in fourth position. Charge d’Affaires, Embassy of the United States, (USA), Ms. Natalie A. Baker, was the chief guest on the occasion, distributed prizes among the winning players along with Coordinator, Prime Minister Youth Programme,  Madam Afnan Mishal.

President Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation, Ijazur Rehman and Secretary General, Lt. Col. (R) Kamran Khalid Janjua and a large number of peoples were also present on the occasion.

In the finals, Daniyal Ijaz won the titles with 518 points.

Faheem Akbar Khan secured second position with 514 points, while Zeeshan Bhatti got third position with 513 points and Ahmar Suldera was fourth position with 502 points.

Speaking at the occasion, President,  Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation, Ijaz Ur Rehman, expressed his gratitude to the guests and highlighted the potential of Pakistani youth in tenpin bowling.

He emphasized the need for bilateral collaboration between Pakistan and the United States to share technical expertise, upgrade facilities, and provide international exposure to young athletes.

In her address, US Charge d’Affaires Ms. Natalie A. Baker commended Ijaz Ur Rehman for organizing a successful national championship. She assured support for the development and promotion of tenpin bowling in Pakistan, highlighting sports as an effective bridge between the two nations.

The ceremony concluded with a shared resolve to strengthen sports diplomacy and elevate Pakistani bowling to the global stage. Male and female players from all over the country participated in the championship.
