ISLAMABAD, Oct 17 (APP): The second day of the Asia-Pacific Goalball Championship 2025 witnessed another round of thrilling encounters at the Liaquat Gymnasium of Pakistan Sports Complex on Friday.
In the men’s fixtures, China overpowered Uzbekistan 12–2, Thailand outplayed Saudi Arabia 7–3 and Kazakhstan thrashed Pakistan 10–0. Australia also impressed, defeating Iraq 7–2.
In the women’s category, China edged past South Korea 4–2, while Japan crushed Pakistan 10–0 to record their second consecutive victory.
Organized by the Pakistan Blind Sports Federation, the championship features teams from China, Iran, Japan, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Iraq and Uzbekistan.
Defending champions China remain unbeaten in both men’s and women’s events as they continue their quest to retain the title. The tournament is being hosted by Pakistan for the first time.
