Benazir Bhutto Medical University organizes Badminton Championship in Intra-Universities in Larkana

LARKANA, Oct 31 (APP):SMBB Medical University Hosted HEC Intervarsity Badminton (Boys) Championship (Zone-K) 2025–26 with on Friday.
Under the dynamic guidance of Prof. Dr. Nusrat Shah, Vice Chancellor of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU), Larkana, the University organized and hosted the HEC Intervarsity Badminton (Boys) Championship (Zone-K) at the Gymnasium Hall, Chandka Medical College (CMC), Larkana.
The championship began with a Managers’ Meeting at the office of the Director Sports, SMBBMU, attended by sports officers from eleven participating universities, including MUET Jamshoro, SALU Khairpur Mirs, GC University Hyderabad, SAU Tandojam, BBSU-TECH Khairpur Mirs, QUEST Nawabshah, University of Sindh Jamshoro,
Isra University Hyderabad, LUMHS Jamshoro, IBA Sukkur, and SMBBMU Larkana.
During the closing ceremony, Dr. Bilawal Shaikh, I/C Director Sports, SMBBMU, expressed sincere appreciation to the Vice Chancellor for her unwavering encouragement and commitment to fostering sports activities across the university. He also acknowledged the support of the HEC Sports and Co-Curricular Division, Islamabad, for entrusting SMBBMU with the hosting this championship.
In the final matches, Isra University Hyderabad emerged as Champion in both Singles and Doubles categories. GC University Hyderabad secured the Runner-up position in Singles, while Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro, claimed the Runner-up title in Doubles.
SMBBMU was represented by Masood Ahmed and Jabeer Hussain (CMC Batch 49), Zia Ahmed (Batch 50), and Asim and Agha Sadullah (Batch 52). Notably, Agha Sadullah (CMC Batch 52) delivered an impressive performance against M. Waleed from Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam, with a close scoreline of 21/14, 14/20, and 22/24 in the second round.
The championship concluded with a closing ceremony, where winners and runners-up received trophies and shields, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence. The event marked another milestone in SMBBMU’s ongoing commitment to promoting sports, leadership, and holistic development among university students.
