LAHORE, Aug 2 (APP): Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP)
will organise “Azadi Race August 2016” in Gujrat as a part of
independence day celebrations.
The University of Gujrat with the collaboration of District
Management Gujrat and AFP will hold the 8.84 kilometre long event which is open for all age group participants, said Muhammad Zaar, Secretary AFP here on Tuesday.
The Winners will be awarded Cash and other valuable prizes up to top 20 positions. The event is a part of AFP activity plan which it has chalked out to celebrate the independence day in a befitting manner throughout the country.
“Apart from this race we have planned marathon and road races in major cities of the country to engage youth in athletics and to find new talent”, he added.
