ASF Level-I Squash Coaching Course concludes

PESHAWAR, June 7 (APP): The Asian Squash Federation Level-I Squash
Coaching Course organized under the aegis of Asian Squash Federation and Pakistan Squash Federation concluded here with 15 male and female participants successfully completed the course.

The objective of the course is to provide updated coaching and training
skills to those in the field of squash as coach, Group Captain Asghar Awan, Director Pakistan Air Force Sports Control Committee told APP here at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex on Tuesday.

He said ASF and PSF have jointly organized the Level-I Squash Coaching Course with the aim to produce more qualified squash coaches and trainers in order to promote squash systematically.

He said as desired by President Pakistan Squash Federation, the course
was conducted in Islamabad, followed with certificates distribution ceremony in PAF Hashim Khan Squash Academy wherein players of various ages were associated with the Academy.

He said two legends Qamar Zaman and Jansher Khan is looking after the Academy where the players of various age groups are imparting training and coaching under well qualified coaches. The players, he said, are currently under training having age between 10-16 year.

About the coaching course, he said, Course Conductor Khalid Atlas
Khan imparted coaching and training to the 15 participants attended the course with 12 male and three female from Peshawar, Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi.

The participants from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa comprising Muhammad Mobeen,  Muhammad Adil, Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Ibrahim, Ali Maqsood Hanif, Farhan Ahmad and Sadia Gul.

The probable from Lahore including Muhammad Azeem Ashraf, Moin Rauf,  Riffat Khan, Shahzad Ali Khan, Numair Khalil Khan, Syed Mohsin Raza Zaidia and Madina Zafar from Karachi.

In the course, he said, the participants learnt about the latest
development in squash, modern training styles, modern teaching styles, fitness training and about injury prevention. The course attendents also learn in detail about the basic strokes of squash which will help them to develop player skills and cover all performance by
enabling them to give podium performances on national and international levels.

During the certificates distribution ceremony Director Sports Pakistan
Air Force Sports Control Committee Group Captain Asghar Awan also appreciated the participants and encourage them to come and work hard for the promotion of squash in their respective areas.
