ISLAMABAD, Nov 7 (APP): Pakistan’s ace tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq
Qureshi returned home on Sunday after making a number of landmark achievements in a long and hectic ATP World Tour Circuit.
He landed Lahore Airport on early Sunday. Due to the off season
on international tennis circuit, he will stay in Pakistan for most
of November and December, a press release issued here said.
Aisam recently won the ATP World Tour Championship in New Port,
USA, finished runner-up in ATP World tour Championship of Gstaad, Switzerland, Won ATP Aix En Provence Championship of France and
above all got Pakistan elevated to Asia Oceania Davis Cup Group
by beating Chinese Taipei at the neutral venue in Izmir Turkey
not only as Playing Captain for the first time in Pakistan history
but also won the most crucial fifth match when the two teams were
tied at 2-2.
Furthermore, he raised Pakistan’s flag at a number of other
international tennis tournaments during this spell including
French Open Grand slam Tennis Championship, Wimbledon Tennis
Championship, US Open Grand Slam Tennis Championship, ATP
Masters Tennis Championship in Paris.
