ISLAMABAD, Aug 24 (APP):Pakistan’s junior tennis player Ahtesham Humayun clinched a silver medal after finishing as doubles finalist at the ITF World Junior Championships J30 Akouda in Tunisia.
Ahtesham, partnering Aliaksandr Viarsotski of Belarus, put up a strong fight in the doubles final against Tunisia’s Anas Ben Youssef and Algeria’s Yacine Meghari before narrowly losing 3-6, 6-2, 6-10, according to information made available here by the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) on Monday.
The impressive performance adds another international achievement to Ahtesham’s growing junior career.
President PTF Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, Secretary General PTF Zia-ud-Din Tufail and the entire PTF management congratulated Ahtesham on his outstanding achievement and wished him continued success in future international competitions.
