AFP president elected as vice president of Asian Athletics body

LAHORE, Apr 26 (APP):President Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) Maj-Gen (Retd) Muhammad Akram Sahi has been elected as vice president of Asian Athletics Association at the 23rd Congress of Asian Athletics Association, held recently in Doha, Qatar.
“It is a great honour for the AFP as well as for our country that our president has been elected to an important slot in the Asian Athletics body for the first time in the athletics history of Pakistan,” said AFP Secretary Muhammad Zafar, here on Friday.
He said that Gen Sahi’s election is in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the cause of athletics in Pakistan and Asia.
