KARACHI, Nov 13 (APP):Three matches were decided in the S.M. Adil Zone-IV Inter Club Cricket Tournament, organized by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi Zone IV at various city grounds, with standout performances from Afnan Khan and Awais Ahmed Khan.
The day’s highlight was a blazing unbeaten double century by Afnan Khan, who smashed 215 runs with 11 fours and 19 sixes, while Awais Ahmed Khan impressed with a superb 115 featuring 17 boundaries and four sixes.
At Landhi Gymkhana, Rising Star Cricket Club defeated Inqilab Cricket Club by 18 runs. Rising Star posted 309 for 3 in 35 overs, with Afnan Khan remaining unbeaten on 215. In reply, Inqilab CC managed 291 for 9, led by Awais Ahmed Khan’s 115 and Amir Raza’s 74. Afnan Khan bagged the Player of the Match award, presented by S.M. Asim Zahoor, Vice President Zone-IV.
In another match, Pak Star Cricket Club overcame Orient Star Cricket Club by 51 runs at Pak Star Ground. Pak Star scored 216 for 9, with Abdul Razaq contributing an unbeaten 81 and Saad Murtaza adding 45. Orient Star were bowled out for 165 in 33.4 overs. Abdul Razaq was named Man of the Match.
Meanwhile, Sindh Rana Cricket Club thrashed Malir Muslim Sports by 136 runs. Sindh Rana CC posted 298 for 9, with Muhammad Tahir scoring 65 and Rafiullah 49. In response, Malir Muslim Sports were bundled out for 162. Tahir was declared Man of the Match.
