Abdul Rehman thanks fans after winning Poligras Magic Skill Award
ISLAMABAD, Sep 18 (APP):Pakistan’s emerging hockey star Abdul Rehman has expressed his gratitude to hockey fans around the world for voting for him to win the prestigious Poligras Magic Skill Award in the men’s competition.
In a video statement following his success, Abdul Rehman thanked everyone who voted for him and said he was delighted that fans had appreciated his 3D skills and his goal against Wales during the FIH Hockey World Cup Belgium and Netherlands 2026.
“A big thank you to everyone who voted for me. I’m really happy you enjoyed my 3D skills and my goal against Wales,” he said.
He said the support he received from hockey fans meant a great deal to him.
“Your support means a lot to me. Thank you very much,” he added.
Abdul Rehman secured 44 per cent of the votes in the global poll conducted from September 4 to 13, finishing ahead of Canada’s Kenton Melville, who received 39 per cent.
His award-winning moment came during Pakistan’s match against Wales, when he showcased exceptional 3D skills to beat four defenders before finishing brilliantly to score a memorable goal.
The Poligras Magic Skill Award, presented by FIH Global Supplier Polytan, recognises extraordinary talent and innovative skills displayed by hockey players at the international level.
