Abbottabad’s cricket passion ignited by ICC Champions Trophy tour

ISLAMABAD, Nov 18 (APP): The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 tour made a stop in Abbottabad on Monday, bringing cricket fever to the city.

The trophy was displayed at key locations, including Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad Public School, Thandyani, and the iconic PCB Abbottabad Stadium, delighting cricket fans and locals.

The event featured a photo-shoot and video session, with one of the highlights being a shoot at the scenic Thandyani. Fans were invited to take pictures with the trophy, creating a festive and inclusive atmosphere that celebrated the sport.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) team, along with Shaukat Jadoon, Abbottabad Stadium Manager, and several notable dignitaries, including Hassan Nisar, CEO of Metrix Pakistan, and Ammad Ali, CEO of Ranking Grow, also attended the event.

The silverware will journey across the eight participating nations during the tour, providing unique experiences for fans. After its visit to Abbottabad, the trophy will continue its journey to other iconic venues across Pakistan before embarking on its international tour.

Tomorrow, the trophy will make its way to the scenic hill stations of Murree and Nathia Gali, where cricket lovers will have the opportunity to get up close with the prestigious silverware.
