LAHORE, Jan 28 (APP):A 17-member Australian squad arrived here On Wednesday to play three T20Is ahead of the ICC Men’s T20I World Cup in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8, 2026.
The Three T20Is will serve as a platform for both the teams to launch their respective World Cup campaigns in India and Sri Lanka. Pakistan is due to play all their matches in Sri Lanka under a hybrid arrangement by the ICC – the model was introduced last year prior to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan. India had refused to travel to Pakistan
All three matches are scheduled to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium on January 29, 31 and February 1, said a PCB press release.
Australian squad is led by Mitchel March and includes Sean Abbott, Xavier Bartlett, Mahli Beardman, Cooper Connolly, Ben Dwarshuis, Jack Edwards, Cameron Green, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Matthew Kuhnemann, Mitch Owen, Josh Philippe, Matthew Renshaw, Matthew Short, Marcus Stoinis, Adam Zampa,
Among the players Jack Edwards, Josh Philippe, Mahli Beardman, Matthew Kuhnemann and Xavier Bartlett are visiting Pakistan for the first time. Beardman and Edwards are uncapped at the international level.
