16 matches played in Squash

ISLAMABAD, Nov 3 (APP): As many as 16 pre-qualifying round
matches of the President Gold Cup International Squash Tournament were
played in the morning session here at the Mushaf Squash Complex.
Pakistan Squash Federation is organizing President Gold Cup with a
prize purse of US$ 25,000, says a press release.
The tournament is sponsored by Serena Hotels. Beside Pakistan, a
group of world ranking players from Austria, Egypt, Jordon and USA are
also participating in the event. A total of 16 players from Pakistan
participated in the pre-qualifying round in the morning session.
Results: Sadam Ul Haq beat Mubashir Khan 11/4, 11/3,11/7 (12 min);
Syed Ali Bukhari beat Moin Rauf 11/5,011/2, 11/1 (17 min); Abdul Malik
beat Abdul Basit 11/6, 14/12, 11/3 (26 min); Kashif Asif beat Hamza Bhatti
11/7, 11/7, 11/9 (24 min); Mansoor Zaman beat Zeeshan Khan 12/10, 6/11,
15/13, 11/8 (38 min); Waqas Mehboob beat Salman Hashmi 10/12, 11/7, 11/5,
11/2 (29 min); Raees Khan beat Yasir Sarwar 11/3, 11/6, 11/6 (16 min) and
Mehran Javed beat Salman Zeb 11/3, 11/8, 10/12, 11/9 (42 min).
