UK Deputy High Commissioner meets IGP Sindh

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Javed Alam Odho met British deputy high commissioner Lance Domm at the Central Police Office on Thursday and discussed matters related to security cooperation and professional engagement.

KARACHI, Mar 12 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Javed Alam Odho met British deputy high commissioner Lance Domm at the Central Police Office on Thursday and discussed matters related to security cooperation and professional engagement.
During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on issues of mutual interest and ways to further strengthen professional ties, said a news release.
The IGP Sindh briefed the visiting diplomat about the overall law and order situation in the province and the measures taken by police to maintain peace and security.
They also discussed steps taken to curb crime and ensure public safety across Karachi and other parts of the  province.
Matters related to modern policing requirements, capacity building and prospects for professional training were also deliberated.
The British deputy high commissioner appreciated the professional performance of Sindh Police and its efforts in maintaining law and order.
Both sides also agreed to further enhance cooperation between law enforcement institutions, while the British diplomat assured continued support from the Government of the United Kingdom in this regard.
