Syed Nehal Hashmi swears in as the 35th Governor of Sindh

KARACHI, Mar 13 (APP):A Pakistan Muslim League N senior leader, Senator Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi, Friday, sworn in as the 35th Governor of Sindh following his appointment under Articles 48 and 101 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The Chief Justice Sindh High Court Zafar Ahmed Rajput administered the oath of office of Governor Sindh to Senator Nehal Hashmi in a simple and dignified oath-taking ceremony held at the Sindh Governor House.
The ceremony was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, provincial ministers Saeed Ghani, Zia Lanjar, Nasir Hussain Shah, members of the provincial and national assemblies, IG Police Sindh Javed Alam Odho, Karachi Police Chief and other officers while Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Asif Haider Shah moderated the ceremony.
Senator Waqar Mehdi, Federal Spokesperson for Sindh Raja Ansari, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad, PML-N leaders, and various political and social figures were present at the occasion.
The Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, at the occasion met with Governor Sindh and extended him the felicitation on assuming the prestigious office. The dignitaries present at the ceremony also congratulated Senator Muhammad Nehal Hashmi on assuming the office.
