SSC examination centers declared restricted areas for general public during exams from April 7 to May 2

KARACHI, Apr 03 (APP): Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi, under section 144 (6) CrPC, has declared the premises of Examination Centers during the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Annual Exams from April 7 to May 2, 2026, as restricted areas for the general public except candidates bearing valid Admit Card as well as the staff on duty and prohibiting any type of gathering within a radius of 200 yards of the exams centers including operation of photocopiers.
The steps are taken to conduct the SSC examination in smooth, transparent, fair and peaceful manner and to maintain sanctity of examination premises during the examination, said a notification.
It may be noted here that the Board of Secondary Education, Karachi has announced to conduct the SSC Annual Examination from April 7 to May 2, with approximately 385,000 candidates at 530 examination centers across Karachi Division.
The Commissioner Karachi in exercise of powers under section 144 (6) CrPC delegated by Home Department, Government of Sindh under a notification issued on May 21, 2020 has also prohibited display of weapons, and use of cell phones or other electronic devices for adopting any unfair means during the examination days / hours for a period with effect from April 7 to May 2, with immediate effect.
The Station House Officers (SHOs) of the concerned police stations are authorized, either on their own initiative or upon a complaint of the Superintendent of the Examination Centres, to register complaints in writing under Section 188 PPC for any violation of Section 144 Cr.PC.
