Deputy Commissioner Zain-ul-Abedeen Memon on Wednesday led a solidarity walk from the deputy commissioner complex to mark Kashmir Exploitation Day (Youm-i-Istehsal) and expressed support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

HYDERABAD, Aug 05 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Zain-ul-Abedeen Memon on Wednesday led a solidarity walk from the deputy commissioner complex to mark Kashmir Exploitation Day (Youm-i-Istehsal) and expressed support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The walk was attended by district officers, officials of Rescue 1122, the health, education and information departments, representatives of social organizations, persons with disabilities, women, teachers and students.
Participants carried the flags of Pakistan and Kashmir to demonstrate solidarity with the Kashmiri people. A one-minute silence was observed in memory of the Kashmiri martyrs and the oppressed people of Kashmir. The participants also raised slogans in support of the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
Addressing the participants, Deputy Commissioner Zain-ul-Abedin Memon said that on August 5, 2019, India revoked the special constitutional status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and deprived the Kashmiri people of their fundamental rights. He emphasized that the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination should be respected at every level.
He said that a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations resolutions was the need of the hour. The participants reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to continue extending political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiri people and pledged that the people of Pakistan would stand with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters until the realization of their right to freedom. Special prayers were also offered by the district administration for the people of Kashmir.
