SKT Welfare’s humanitarian work for Gaza victims concludes

KARACHI, Oct 06 (APP): The SKT Welfare completed a deeply moving humanitarian deployment to Jordan, standing in solidarity with Palestinians displaced from Gaza, including brave individuals.
According to statement, the SKT Welfare’s compassionate delegation included humanitarian workers alongside a visiting group of prominent actors from Pakistan. The team from Pakistan included showbiz personalities like Jawed Shaikh, Khaled Anam, Saba Hamid, Shagufta Ejaz, Kubra Khan, Gohar Rasheed, Ahmed Ali Akbar, Ally Khan  and Nabeel Zafar.
Working side by side with local teams, the delegation packed food cartons at SKT Welfare’s warehouse before delivering 500 essential food parcels directly to displaced Palestinian families. Throughout the week, team members reached out to those injured in the conflict—visiting patients in hospitals and at their homes to offer comfort and a listening ear. Bringing moments of joy back into children’s lives, the team also hosted a special afternoon of play and a shared hot meal for young children from Gaza.
For patients evacuated from Gaza, healing away from home presents immense challenges, requiring a safe place to stay, nourishing meals, and reliable transport to critical medical appointments. SKT Welfare has proudly provided this vital safety net—covering accommodation, meals, and transport—year-round. This ongoing care follows a profound 2025 effort in Jordan, where dedicated volunteers distributed food parcels and hygiene kits across refugee camps to support approximately 76,000 people.
“Humanitarian response means staying connected to people as their circumstances change,” reflected Asif Hussain, CEO of SKT Welfare. “For some families that means support inside Gaza. For others it means support in Jordan, where they have come for treatment. This week our team met families directly, heard what they needed and acted on it.”
