Sindh govt decides to provide live career counseling to youth under iWork4Sindh platform

KARACHI, Aug 07 (APP): The Sindh government has decided to provide live career counseling to youth through the iWork4Sindh platform.

Senior Minister of Sindh for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon said that, starting this month, experts from various industries will provide career counseling to youth.

So far, 4,935 people have registered through the iWork4Sindh Learn and Earn platform, of whom 2,735 have completed various courses, while 2,000 are currently enrolled in different courses. Under the Learn and Earn program, more than 1,200 internationally recognized short courses will be offered.

Sharjeel Inam Memon said that iWork4Sindh is not only connecting youth with employment opportunities but also equipping them with modern skills. The Sindh government’s pilot project, iWork4Sindh, has evolved into a comprehensive platform aimed at empowering youth with contemporary skills. In the rapidly changing global employment landscape, the adoption of digital platforms and modern technology has become essential.

He said that the continuously growing public participation on the iWork4Sindh platform reflects its strong acceptance among the youth of Sindh. The platform has recorded more than 5.1 million visits, with over 119,000 candidates registered. More than 16,000 job opportunities are currently available, while 695 companies have joined the platform, further strengthening the connection between job seekers and employers.

The Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that, so far, more than 16,200 active job opportunities are available through the iWork4Sindh platform, while a total of over 23,400 job opportunities have been posted on the platform.

He said that the Sindh government’s objective is to provide employment opportunities to youth through digital means and prepare them according to the demands of the modern economy. iWork4Sindh is a significant initiative of the Sindh government aimed at bringing employment, skills development and opportunities.
