Sindh Governor’s Message on Ashura-e-Muharram
KARACHI, Jun 26 (APP):Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi, in his message on the occasion of Ashura-e-Muharram, said on Friday that Ashura reminded us of the great spirit of truth, patience, steadfastness, sacrifice, and devotion.
The timeless sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S) and the martyrs of Karbala would continue to serve as a guidance for the Muslim Ummah and all of humanity for all times to come.
The Governor of Sindh said that the event of Karbala provided an eternal lesson in standing firm against oppression, tyranny, and falsehood, upholding the banner of truth and righteousness, and remaining steadfast to one’s principles.
Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S) and his devoted companions made great sacrifices for the glory of Islam, the establishment of justice, and the protection of human values, which history would forever remember in glowing terms, he said.
Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi said that Ashura urged us to promote unity, brotherhood, tolerance, patience, sacrifice, and mutual respect. On this day, they should pledge that, drawing guidance from the teachings and life of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S), they would promote love, tolerance, justice, and brotherhood in our society, he added.
The Governor of Sindh further said that the sacrifices of the martyrs of Karbala served as shining examples for humanity of courage, resolve, loyalty, and standing firm on the truth. Their great struggle inspired us in every era to stand by the truth and raise our voices against falsehood.
He prayed that Allah Almighty might grant us the strength to draw guidance from the life of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S), follow the path of truth and justice, and serve the country and the nation.
The Governor of Sindh also offered special prayers for the security, stability, progress, prosperity, and national unity of Pakistan on the occasion of Ashura.
