Sindh Governor meets TDAP Secretary, discusses promotion of trade, exports

KARACHI, Aug 18 (APP): Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi said that increasing exports is essential for strengthening the national economy and ensuring sustainable economic growth.
He emphasized the need for effective strategies and coordinated measures to introduce Pakistani products to international markets and expand access to new trading destinations.
He expressed these views during a meeting with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Secretary Shehryar Taj at the Governor House.
The meeting discussed the promotion of Pakistan’s trade and exports, access to new international markets, and measures to highlight Sindh’s industrial and commercial potential at the global level.
The Governor said that Sindh has significant potential in the industrial, agricultural and commercial sectors, which can be effectively utilized to increase exports, attract investment and create new employment opportunities.
He stressed the importance of stronger coordination and collaboration among relevant institutions to showcase Sindh’s products and industrial capabilities internationally.
Various proposals for increasing exports from Sindh, exploring new international markets, strengthening trade linkages and creating new opportunities for the business community were also reviewed during the meeting.
TDAP Secretary Shehryar Taj briefed the Governor on the authority’s initiatives, priorities and future plans for promoting trade and exports.
Nehal Hashmi said that all relevant institutions must work together to take effective and result-oriented measures to further strengthen Pakistan’s export potential.
Principal Secretary to the Governor Syed Saif-ur-Rehman, Director General TDAP and other relevant officials were also present at the meeting.
