Sindh Governor, CM reaffirm unwavering commitment to ending child labour

KARACHI, Jun 12 (APP):Sindh Governor Muhammad Nehal Hashmi and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah have reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to ending child labour and protecting every child’s right to education, safety and a brighter future.
In their separate messages on the World Day Against Child Labour, they said that children belong in schools, playgrounds, and homes not workplaces. It is time to work together to ensure every child enjoys a safe and dignified childhood.
The Sindh CM said that the Government of Sindh is strengthening access to quality education, enforcing child protection laws, expanding social welfare programs and creating opportunities to address the root causes of child labour including poverty and inequality.
He said that together, government, private sector, civil society and citizens can build a future where every child learns, grows and thrives.
