Shikarpur police review security arrangements for Rabi-ul-Awwal processions

SUKKUR, Aug 17 (APP):Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Shikarpur Mohammad Kaleem, chaired a high-level meeting with religious scholars from different schools of thought to review security arrangements for the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal and other religious activities during Rabi-ul-Awwal.
According to police spokesperson, the meeting discussed in detail foolproof security arrangements for all processions scheduled during the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, Milad-un-Nabi gatherings, Naat programmes and other religious events. Matters related to maintaining law and order and ensuring the peaceful conduct of religious gatherings were also reviewed.
SSP Mohammad Kaleem held detailed discussions with the Ulema and sought their cooperation in maintaining peace and harmony during the religious observances.
Meanwhile, the founders of the annual historic Qafila-e-Sadaat-e-Asiran-e-Sham from the jurisdiction of Chak Police Station, Lala Jawad Pathan and Lala Shah Muhammad Pathan, also met with SSP Mohammad Kaleem. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on foolproof security arrangements for the processions scheduled for the 7th and 8th of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
SSP Mohammad Kaleem assured the religious scholars that Shikarpur Police would take comprehensive security measures to protect the lives and property of citizens and ensure the maintenance of peace and law and order throughout the district.
The SSP also directed ASP City Mohammad Asif, DSP Syed Shah Jahan Shah and Sub-Inspector Mohammad Usman, who were present at the meeting, to extend full cooperation to Ulema and ensure adequate security arrangements for their religious gatherings and processions.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the police department’s commitment to maintaining peace, religious harmony and public safety across Shikarpur during Rabi-ul-Awwal.
