Shaheed BB’s 73th birth anniversary observed through blood donation at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto

LARKANA, Jun 21 (APP):On the occasion of the 73rd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, a blood donation camp for thalassemia patients was organized by the Health Department on Sunday near the mausoleum at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto. Hundreds of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) workers participated in the camp, underwent blood screening and donated blood.

Speaking on the occasion, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh, Khair Muhammad Sheikh said that today, on the 73rd birth anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, this camp had been established to collect blood donations for thalassemia patients, and PPP workers had demonstrated their loyalty and commitment to the party by participating.

He said that they had gathered under the directives of the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and MPA Adi Faryal Talpur.

He further said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was a great leader who served the country and the nation and dedicated her life to the welfare of the people. Following in her footsteps, the party leadership and workers continue to serve the public. In particular, this blood donation camp for thalassemia patients was organized on the occasion of her birth anniversary to provide blood support to those in need.

Chairman District Council Larkana, Ijaz Ahmed Laghari said that to help save the lives of thalassemia patients, this camp had been established near the shrines of martyrs under the instructions of Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He added that providing blood donations would support the treatment of underprivileged thalassemia patients.He said that the mission of PPP is to serve poor and deserving people, and this camp is another example of that commitment.

During the event, all leaders visited the camp and encouraged the workers who donated blood. Performance certificates were also distributed among participating workers.

At the end of the event, Kherat arrangements were made in the name of Fi Sabilillah and Kherat was distributed among hundreds of people present there.
