HYDERABAD, Aug 28 (APP): Sindh Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) Friday claimed that the agency has been constantly monitoring the treatment mechanisms of industrial effluent in both the SITE areas of Jamshoro district.
In a statement issued here, SEPA’s Deputy Director Qutabuddin Dars said in house effluent treatment plants were installed in a number of industries in Nooriabad and Kotri SITE areas.
According to him, those industries also submit reports of their environmental samples to SEPA on a regular basis.
He, however, acknowledged that flow of industrial wastewater in the drains of the SITE areas had been noticed and that the same had been conveyed to the SITE Department for early resolution.
