Seminar on Genitourinary Infections Held at GIMS Gambat

SUKKUR, Aug 21 (APP): The Department of Urology at Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Gambat organized an academic seminar on “Infection and Inflammatory Conditions in the Genitourinary System” on Friday.

The seminar was conducted by renowned Robotic Kidney Transplant Surgeon and Professor of Urology, Dr. Waseem Sarwar Bhatti.

The session focused on the diagnosis, management, and latest advancements in the treatment of infections and inflammatory disorders affecting the kidney, urinary tract and reproductive system. Dr. Bhatti highlighted the importance of early diagnosis, rational use of antibiotics, and modern surgical approaches in preventing complications and improving patient outcomes.

Addressing the participants, Dr. Waseem Bhatti said that genitourinary infections are among the most common conditions encountered in urology practice and require a thorough clinical understanding and evidence-based management. He shared his clinical experience and recent research in the field with the audience.

A large number of postgraduate trainees, house officers, medical students and faculty members of the Department of Urology attended the seminar and took active part in the interactive question-and-answer session.
