Nehal Hashmi offers Eid prayers at Sindh Governor House

KARACHI, Mar 21 (APP):The Governor Sindh Muhammad Nehal Hashmi, Saturday, offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at the Governor House mosque.
He was accompanied by senior government officials, diplomats of different brotherly countries, and social and political figures of the metropolis. Prayers were offered, at the occasion, for the country’s solidarity, prosperity and progress, as well as for the unity of the Muslim Ummah.
The Governor Nehal Hashmi, while talking to media after the Eid prayers, extended heartfelt greetings to the nation and the entire Muslim Ummah, saying that the holy month of Ramazan and Eid-ul-Fitr teaches us patience, tolerance, sacrifice and brotherhood.
“We thank Allah Almighty for the blessings of Ramazan, and pray that Allah accepts our worship, fasting and prayers, and grant peace, stability and progress to Pakistan” he added.
Governor Sindh paid a glowing tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces and security agencies and appealed to the nation for special prayers for the security, progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
Stressing on collective efforts for promoting love, tolerance and mutual respect in society, Nehal Hashmi noted that national unity and solidarity were essential in the current circumstances. It is important to share the joys of Eid with the deserving and needy and special care should be taken of relatives, neighbours and needy people, he underscored.
Nehal Hashmi termed Prime Minister’s austerity campaign as the need of the hour and urged the people to celebrate Eid with simplicity and avoid unnecessary expenses. Every individual must show responsibility for better use of national resources, he said, adding that a collective role must be played for the betterment of the country’s economy.
Responding to a media query regarding resumption of IT courses in the Sindh Governor House, Nehal Hashmi said that IT courses will start with a new commitment soon. He said that the PM Youth program has consented to undertake the IT courses while all the universities have extended their cooperation in this regard.
