MIRPURKHAS, Aug 5 (APP): The Mirpurkhas Range Police observed Sindh Police Martyrs’ Day with great reverence, national spirit, and dignity to pay tribute to the brave personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
A series of commemorative events were held across the range to honor the sacrifices of Sindh Police martyrs.On the night of August 4, memorial monuments in Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, and Tharparkar were illuminated, while special prayers were offered for the eternal peace and elevated ranks of the martyrs.
At 8:00 a.m. on August 5, Quran Khawani and special prayers for the departed souls were organized at the mosques of police headquarters in all three districts.
Later, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Mirpurkhas Range Captain (R) Faisal Abdullah Chachar, along with Senior Superintendent of Police Mirpurkhas Syed Fida Hussain Shah, senior police officers, and personnel visited the graves of the martyrs.
They offered Fateha, laid floral wreaths, and paid glowing tribute to those who laid down their lives in service of the nation. A ceremonial guard of honor was also presented at the Martyrs’ Memorial by a smartly turned-out police contingent.
A dignified ceremony was organized in honor of the families of the martyrs. It was attended by Divisional Commissioner Mirpurkhas Shamir Bhutto, Deputy Commissioner Nawab Sameer Leghari, Mayor of Mirpurkhas Abdul Rauf Ghori, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, Bar Association, civil society, and distinguished citizens.
Children of the martyrs expressed pride in the sacrifices made by their parents. Tableaux and patriotic songs highlighting the courage and dedication of Sindh Police martyrs deeply moved the audience.Gifts were presented to the families of the martyrs, who were also assured of the Sindh Police’s continued support and commitment to their welfare and dignity.
The ceremony concluded with a luncheon for the participants. The Mirpurkhas Range Police reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to upholding the legacy of the Sindh Police martyrs by safeguarding lives and property, maintaining law and order, and ensuring the rule of law with honesty and professional dedication.
