Man drowns in River Indus in Hyd

HYDERABAD, Jun 27 (APP): A resident of Kohsar town in Latifabad drowned while swimming in the Indus River here on Saturday.

The spokesman of Rescue 1122 informed that the local divers pulled out the deceased Moosa Fazal Nabi some minutes after his drowning.

He added that the deceased was also given CPR but he could not survive.

Drowning in the river and its 4 canals in Hyderabad and Jamshoro districts have become a frequent occurrence during the summer season as people violate ban on swimming in the waterways and authorities, on their part, fail to enforce the same.
