The Department of Sociology of the University of Karachi, and the Human Rights Council signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on the promotion of human rights, research on social issues, public awareness, and practical training for students.
KU, HRC sign MoU to promote human rights, student training, social awareness among masses
KARACHI, Sep 25 (APP): The Department of Sociology of the University of Karachi, and the Human Rights Council signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on the promotion of human rights, research on social issues, public awareness, and practical training for students.
As per the MoU, both institutions will cooperate in organizing workshops, seminars, and conferences; advancing research activities; producing scholarly work on digital rights and social issues; and providing internship and field learning opportunities for students.
The MoU also encourages faculty members, PhD scholars, and MPhil researchers of the KU’s Department of Sociology to prepare research articles and policy briefs on human rights, with selected research material to be published.
The MoU documents were signed by the Director of Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization Professor Dr Muhammad Naeem Khan and HRC’s Health Department Head Dr Shahrukh at the KU Vice Chancellor Secretariat.
The faculty members, ORIC Team and representatives of HRC were present on this occasion.
