Influencer engagement program held in Sanghar to boost anti-polio campaign

HYDERABAD, Apr 07 (APP):In a concerted effort to protect children from the crippling disease of polio and ensure its complete eradication, the district administration Sanghar, in collaboration with UNICEF, organized an Influencer Engagement Program at a local hotel.
Addressing the event, Deputy Commissioner Sara Javed said the objective of the program was to mobilize influential members of society, social media influencers and local leaders to play an active role in the ongoing anti-polio campaign. She emphasized that the disease could be eradicated permanently through collective efforts.
On the occasion, health experts and relevant officials provided participants with detailed awareness about the risks associated with the poliovirus, preventive measures and the importance of vaccination.
Speakers highlighted that the complete eradication of polio was only possible when all segments of society actively participate in this national cause. Influencers attending the program expressed their determination to spread positive messages about polio through their platforms and to encourage parents to ensure their children receive polio drops.
DHO, ADC Abdul Majeed Zehrani, all assistant commissioners, UNICEF representative Muhammad Aftab, Dr. Shabbir, Dr. Hina, Shazia Mangrio and civil surgeon Aftab Azam Sirewal also addressed the gathering and shared their experiences.
