Inauguration of rehabilitation & development works in various UCs of Gulistan-e-Johar

Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab inaugurated rehabilitation and development works carried out by Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) in various Union Councils of Gulistan-e-Johar on Wednesday. 

KARACHI, Aug 19 (APP): Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab inaugurated rehabilitation and development works carried out by Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) in various Union Councils of Gulistan-e-Johar on Wednesday.
On the occasion, Murtaza Wahab said that development works, including the installation of paver blocks, have been completed in various UCs of Gulistan-e-Johar at a cost of Rs 145 million, while paver blocks covering 271,000 square feet have been installed in different areas.
He said that KMC is completing development works this year in accordance with its manifesto and the promises made to the citizens. Our objective is to provide basic civic facilities to the people and ensure development works across different areas of Karachi without discrimination.
He said that the installation of paver blocks in various areas of Gulistan-e-Johar has not only improved the condition of roads and streets but has also facilitated the movement of citizens. He added that special importance is being given to quality and durability in the execution of development projects so that citizens can benefit from these projects for a long time.
The Mayor said that KMC is expanding the scope of development works across different areas of the city, with projects being undertaken on a priority basis wherever basic civic facilities are required. The development projects completed in Gulistan-e-Johar are also part of this ongoing effort and will provide better civic facilities to the residents of the area.
Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that all available resources are being utilized for the development of Karachi and the pace of development projects is being further accelerated.
He expressed his resolve that the process of fulfilling the promises made to the people would continue, and practical measures would be taken to ensure better infrastructure, a clean environment and the provision of basic civic facilities to citizens.
