IGP Sindh meets Hindu Panchayat delegation

KARACHI, Jun 15 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Javed Alam Odho on Monday met a delegation of the Sindh Hindu Panchayat at the Central Police Office (CPO) Karachi and discussed issues concerning the Hindu community and other minority groups.
The delegation was led by Mukhi Dr. Suresh Kumar Talreja and included Dr Ramesh Kumar, among others, said a news release.
During the meeting, the delegation apprised the IGP Sindh of various issues and concerns being faced by the Hindu community, particularly in Kashmore district.
Speaking on the occasion, the IGP Sindh said that the protection of life and property of minority communities remained among the top priorities of Sindh Police.
He said all possible measures were being taken to address the concerns of the Hindu community and other minority groups and to ensure their safety and security.
Javed Alam Odho said Sindh Police remained in continuous contact with minority communities to effectively address their issues and strengthen mutual trust.
The delegation appreciated the measures taken by Sindh Police for the protection and welfare of minority communities.
Matters relating to mutual cooperation, religious harmony and the overall law and order situation also came under discussion during the meeting.
Mukhi Vinod, Mahesh Talreja, Ramesh Lal and AIGP Operations were also present on the occasion.
