KARACHI, Sep 19 (APP):Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, visited the Quaid-e-Azam Academy in Karachi during his visit to the city, accompanied by Abdul Aleem Sheikh, Resident Engineer of the Quaid-e-Azam Mazar Management Board.
According to the issued press release, the federal minister was warmly received by Zahid Hussain Abro, a senior officer and key figure of the Quaid-e-Azam Academy, Abdul Majid Farooqui, Asim Khan Niazi, and representatives of civil society, including Dr. Fayyaz Shahin, Rana Ashfaq Rasool, Aslam Khan Farooqi, Dr. Iram Muzafar and others.
During the visit, Federal Minister Aurangzeb Khan Khichi sought suggestions from representatives of civil society regarding measures to improve the performance and functioning of the Quaid-e-Azam Academy.
The civil society representatives appreciated the efforts being made by the Quaid-e-Azam Academy to promote the thoughts, vision and ideology of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah among the general public and the younger generation.
They emphasized the need to accelerate these efforts and proposed various measures, including the establishment of a dedicated media cell.
They also stressed the need to appoint a permanent Director at the Quaid-e-Azam Academy and fill vacant positions, including that of a librarian and other staff members.
The participants said that the Quaid-e-Azam Academy is an important academic and research institution of Pakistan, established to conduct research on the life, thoughts, political views and struggle of the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, and to publish scholarly material on these subjects.
