Ethiopia showcases tourism, culture at Pakistan Travel Mart

The Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad, in collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines, on Friday inaugurated the “Ethiopian Enclave” at the Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM) 2026, which opened at the Karachi Expo Centre.

KARACHI, Apr 03 (APP): The Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad, in collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines, on Friday inaugurated the “Ethiopian Enclave” at the Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM) 2026, which opened at the Karachi Expo Centre.

The enclave has been set up to highlight Ethiopia’s ancient heritage, diverse tourism destinations and rich cultural identity, offering visitors an immerse experience of the country’s traditions, said a news release issued here.

The opening attracted senior officials of the Government of Pakistan, including Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Tourism Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan and Managing Director of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation Aftab ur Rehman Rana, who visited the pavilion.

Visitors were introduced to the traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony, while discussions were also held on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the tourism and hospitality sectors.

The Ethiopian exhibit received an encouraging response from Karachi residents, media representatives and travel industry stakeholders, presenting Ethiopia as an attractive destination for Pakistani travellers.

The Ethiopian Enclave will remain open to visitors at PTM 2026 until April 5.
