KARACHI, Jun 03 (APP): The police of the East and West districts have arrested eight suspects, including five injured individuals, during encounters for their involvement in dozens of street crime incidents.
Two suspects who brutally assaulted and injured a husband and wife over a house rent dispute in Orangi Town are also among those arrested, said police sources on Wednesday.
According to police officials, motorcycles, weapons used in the assaults, and goods looted during street crimes have been recovered from the eight suspects arrested during the encounters in the East and West districts.
The suspects arrested in injured condition include Usman, Zaid, Jan Sher, Danish, and Suhail, while the other suspects namely Sajid, Rehan, and Akbar alias Langra were arrested from the areas of Jail Chourangi, Bahadurabad, Karsaz, Jehangir Road, and Iqbal Market.
According to SSP West Tariq Elahi Mastoi, on May 31 in Wilayat Ali Colony, Orangi Town, suspects Suhail alias Aslam and Akram alias Langra brutally assaulted and injured a couple over a house rent dispute and fled the scene after the incident.
