Chairman Consumers Association of Pakistan (CAP), Kaukab Iqbal has welcomed several positive measures announced in the Federal Budget 2026-27 aimed at promoting economic growth, industrial development, investment, exports, digital transformation, and employment generation.

KARACHI, Jun 12 (APP): Chairman Consumers Association of Pakistan (CAP), Kaukab Iqbal has welcomed several positive measures announced in the Federal Budget 2026-27 aimed at promoting economic growth, industrial development, investment, exports, digital transformation, and employment generation.
In his budget reactions on Friday, Kaukab Iqbal stated that the budget contains encouraging initiatives designed to support industrial expansion, local manufacturing, renewable energy projects, technology development, and investment promotion, which can contribute to economic stability and create employment opportunities across the country.
He particularly appreciated measures aimed at facilitating industrial growth, promoting small and medium enterprises (SMEs), encouraging digital financial services, and supporting renewable energy solutions. According to him, these initiatives have the potential to strengthen Pakistan’s economy while improving market competitiveness and consumer access to quality products and services.
The CAP Chairman noted that any reduction in duties and taxes on selected products, industrial raw materials, machinery, and technological equipment should ultimately benefit consumers through lower prices and improved product quality. He urged manufacturers, importers, distributors, and retailers to pass on the benefits of fiscal incentives to consumers rather than increasing profit margins.
Kaukab Iqbal reaffirmed that the Consumers Association of Pakistan will continue to work closely with government institutions, regulatory authorities, industry stakeholders, and civil society organizations to promote consumer welfare, market transparency, product safety, and sustainable economic development.
