Bangladeshi universities sign MoUs with ICCBS–University of Karachi

Two leading universities of Bangladesh have signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, to promote collaborative educational, teaching, research, and cultural activities between institutions of the two brotherly countries.

KARACHI, Jun 16 (APP): Two leading universities of Bangladesh have signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, to promote collaborative educational, teaching, research, and cultural activities between institutions of the two brotherly countries.
The MoUs were signed during a visit by senior academics from Bangladesh to ICCBS, University of Karachi, as part of an academic engagement initiative. Under the agreements, two prominent Bangladeshi higher education institutions, including the University of Chittagong and the University of Rajshahi, have established formal academic collaboration with ICCBS.
The MoUs were signed by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Raza Shah, Director of ICCBS, and the respective representatives of the partner universities.
The visiting delegation comprised senior academic and administrative officials, including vice chancellors, deans, heads of departments, directors, faculty members, and other representatives from the University of Rajshahi, University of Dhaka, University of Chittagong, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Jahangirnagar University, North South University, BRAC University, Asian University of Bangladesh, and Southeast University.
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan was also represented during the visit, with its delegation including Jehanzeb Khan.
The meeting commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Raza Shah, followed by the introduction of the members of the visiting delegation.
Discussions focused on establishing new academic and research linkages, exploring opportunities for future partnerships, and sharing experiences in higher education and research.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Raza Shah highlighted the academic and research achievements of ICCBS and described the collaborations as important milestones in promoting educational, teaching, research, and cultural cooperation.
He emphasized that Pakistan and Bangladesh share deep-rooted historical and cultural ties that should be further strengthened, particularly in the fields of education, science, and technology.
He further noted that ICCBS is among Pakistan’s leading centers of excellence in chemical, biological, and biochemical sciences and serves as an international hub for training scholars from various countries.
